RECRUITMENT

Recruitment of candidates is the function preceding the selection, which helps us create a pool of prospective employees for GSM so that the management can select the right candidate for the right job. We believe that our people are central to the company’s success therefore candidates go through a rigorous selection process before they are hired at GFM.

Recruitment process at GFM follows the following steps

Internship

At GFM we hire interns for the projects and then the best candidate is offered the job that goes through an assessment period of one month. During this period they are observed and then evaluated on the basis of his performance. Whoever performs outstandingly well is offered the job at GFM.

Probation

A probationary period at GFM lasts from 30 to 90 days. If the new employee shows promise and does well during the probationary time, they are usually removed from probationary status, and may be given a raise or promotion as well in addition to other privileges, as defined by the business.

Semi-permanent job

After probationary period is over we hire employees on a semi-permanent basis. During this phase the employees are trained and developed according to the job they are assigned for. GSM provides several benefits to its semi-permanent employees which includes: medical allowance, transportation allowance and bonuses (depending on their performance).Best employee of the year gets two bonuses in a year whereas the second best employee gets one bonus in a year.

Permanent job

Employees that have been under semi-permanent job are hired for a permanent job in our company after evaluating their performance and how much have they been successful in achieving the company’s goals during their tenure in GFM. The employees are also promoted from one department to another with more benefits and greater responsibility based on their efficiency and experience that they have gained overtime.
